Sundance Channels across Europe and Asia have secured the 10x60mins second season of crime drama Rectify. The show, which premiered on Sundance Channel in the US, is coming to Sundance’s global channels in territories including Turkey, France, Iberia, Benelux and CEE following a deal with distributor ITV Studios Global Entertainment.

International distributor DCD Rights has sealed deals for FremantleMedia Australia’'s new drama series Mr & Mrs Murder.

Acorn Media Group, a subsidiary of RLJ Entertainment Inc., has acquired all rights for North America. Their commitment extends to Season 2 subject to Network 10 confirmation of re-commission.

In addition Pay TV operator Viasat, part of Modern Times Group, have acquired the series for the whole of Scandinavia and will programme the series on their Viasat Crime channel.

SPI Intil Film Box Channel have acquired Middle East and Africa, and Czech, Hungary and ex Yugoslavian states. The series will be aired on Filmbox Premium Movie channels across CEE.

MundoFox in the US has picked up series including a third run of the telenovela El Capo and a remake of Colombian hit Café con Aroma de Mujer. The Hispanic-aimed network has taken 10 novelas in total from its corporate co-parent RCN Television in Colombia. It has also picked up The Bridge, a new drama due to air on Fox-owned FX. Fox International Channels and RCN launched MundoFox last summer, angling for a share of the growing Spanish-speaking audience in the US.

Red Bull Media House has acquired three seasons of the western series Hell on Wheels from Endemol Worldwide Distribution to air on ServusTV across German-speaking Europe.Season three of the epic western drama is currently in production. ServusTV plans to launch with the first season on September 13. The show was developed by Endemol USA and is produced by Entertainment One and Nomadic Pictures.

BBC3 is moving ahead with a second six-part season of its comedy series Some Girls from Hat Trick Productions. The 6x30’ run will continue to focus on four teenage girls who play on the same school football team and live on an inner city estate. The series has already been sold to Foxtel in Australia.

SBS5 will begin airing the US version of the format, which airs on cablenet Oxygen and is exec produced by Campbell, in Sweden next month. The series has been picked up for a second season in the US, where it is produced by Shine America. The format sees three teams of models, each led by a supermodel coach, living the lives of fashion icons, taking part in photo shoots, runway shows and commercials. The model who impresses the coaches most then goes on to front the marketing strategy of an established beauty brand. It is currently being adapted in the UK for pay TV channel Sky Living by Shine Group’s Princess Productions, with Campbell confirmed to appear.

FremantleMedia have inked a number of new sales and with a slate of finished programs and innovative formats for U.S. and Latin American buyers.

Jamie Oliver is on the menu as Mundo Fox orders Jamie’s Great Italian Escape, Jamie’s 30 Minute Meals, Jamie’s Road Trip (seasons one and two), Jamie Oliver At Home, Jamie’s Kitchen and Jamie’s Food Fight for the U.S. Hispanic market.  The latter has also been sold to FOX Life for Latin America and Globosat in Brazil.

Latest sales of finished programming to LatAm buyers also includes  Auction Hunters joining the TruTV line up later this year. Rounding out sales are the U.S. version of Hole In The Wall, the global TV format sensation that began in Japan, and Bindi’s Bootcamp, both heading to Televisa Cable.

Banijay International has expanded the reach of its format Stars in Danger: The High Dive in Scandinavia, as Banijay Group company Nordisk Film TV has sold a four-episode series to TV3 Denmark. The new deal will see a multi-episode series making its primetime premiere on TV3 in autumn 2013. This adds to recent launches in the region for Stars in Danger: The High Dive, which airs on TV3 in Sweden and TV2 in Norway.

Sony Pictures Television (SPT) and Teleset have announced that they will produce an original series adaptation of the hit U.S. drama Breaking Bad for Latin American audiences. Metástasis is the first adaptation of the award-winning series by SPT. The show has been cleared in most major Spanish speaking markets including Univision's UniMas in the U.S.

Syfy has ordered a 13-episode second season of Defiance. Defiance takes place on Earth in the near future after the planet has been invaded by seven different species of aliens. The second season, which is being being produced by Universal Cable Productions, is slated to debut on April 15, 2014. Production is scheduled to begin in Toronto this August.
